Greetings! I am Shailendra Singh, and I am an Earthian.

Throughout history, the tactic of “divide and rule” wielded by powerful individuals has perpetuated divisions among humanity. However, in 2019, COVID-19 reminded us that our commonalities far outweigh our differences. This virus knows no boundaries—whether religious, caste-based, ideological, or geographical. It has wreaked havoc across the globe, emphasizing that while “The World” may be our collective ego, Earth is our undeniable reality.

Planet B does not exist, and it falls upon us to safeguard our home. The path forward lies in unity, oneness, and togetherness. As Earthians, we must champion our planet. Let us cherish and protect every facet of Earth—the plants, bees, birds, water, fresh air, sunshine, and the twinkling stars. These elements sustain us with every breath and fill our hearts with joy.

In this endeavor, let us honor our abode by appending “planet: Earth” to every official document address.

Every time we jot down our address, let’s keep Mother Earth at the forefront of our minds and close to our hearts. Our planet is our only home, and it’s time to spread love and take action.

While it may seem like it’s just me right now, I’m gathering momentum. Together, we’ll unite as Earthians—individuals committed to safeguarding our planet. Let’s declare: “I am Earthian, you are Earthian, we are Earthian.” Our collective voice will echo: Earth is our home, and we’re determined to protect it, celebrate it, and leave it better than we found it.

Addressed to Mr. Abdullah Shahid, President of the UN General Assembly, this petition seeks to amplify our sentiments. Inspired by the Five Rays of Hope he presented during the 76th session in September 2021, we believe he’ll understand and champion our cause. If he doesn’t respond, I’ll personally take this petition—bearing all your signatures—to the United Nations.

Let’s be part of this wonderful movement—a fusion of love, peace, and unity.

In July of 2023, two months before India hosted the G20 Summit, Shailendra Singh released an open letter to PM Modiji, requesting him to convert his One Earth, One Family, On Future vision into a reality and spearhead the ‘Add Planet : Earth to Every Address’ campaign.

He subsequently sent a request letter to each of the G20 delegates, requesting them to join the movement and accept a brief meeting while in India.

Until date, no world leader has accepted.

Shailendra has also sent a request to Mr. Masahiko Metoki, the Director General of the Universal Postal Union in Berne, Switzerland. The Universal Postal Union is a United Nations specialized agency and the postal sector's primary forum for international cooperation, and the second oldest international organization in the world.
